Sammy BonfimSammy K. Bonfim P.T, M.S, is a Partner in the Rehabilitation and Performance Center at the Macon office. Mr. Bonfim is  nationally known for his work in physical therapy including an emphasis in the treatment of spinal conditions, athletic and sports physical therapy, and industrial rehabilitation and performance testing.

Professional Development

  • Specialized in manual therapy utilizing the Maitland and Paris techniques. These techniques are used to achieve optimal results in the treatment of issues related to the spine as well as other musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
  • Completed hundreds of hours of professional continuing education with concentration areas in spine and sports rehabilitation, and ergonomic assessment.
  • Provided specialized physical therapy for professional athletes in the NBA, female and male intercollegiate athletes, professional golfers, high school soccer, basketball, tennis athletes, and rodeo and water-sport athletes.
  • Trained under internationally known Physical therapist Robert Donnatelli Ph.D, P.T, O.C.S with providing sports specific techniques and biomechanical orthotic fabrication.
  • Certified as a Workwell Systems Functional Capacity Evaluator and has performed over one thousand functional capacity evaluations over the past 10 years.
  • Certified as a Impairment Rating Specialist through Ergoscience and has performed over one thousand impairment rating/calculations over the past 10 years.
  • Certified as a WorkSaver (sm) Affliliate Evaluator through the Industrial Safety and Rehabilitation Institute.
  • Certified as a WorkSteps Employment Evaluator.

Terry Babcock

Office Manager – Macon Location

Terry BabcockTerry Babcock is the front office manager for Macon Rehabilitation and Performance Center. With more than 27 years of professional and administrative experience, she is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.

Terry has received numerous awards and recognition for her service in the field of Property Management, and now brings her years of award-winning experience to MRPC.

Terry and her husband, Don reside in Warner Robins. They have two children, Brandon and Clarrissa. In her spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking, bird-watching, and spending time with her two miniature Schnauzers, Rippy and Roxy. Terry looks forward to serving you at our Macon location.

Brian PrellBrian E. Prell, P.T, M.S, CDMA, RRT is a Partner in Rehabilitation and Performance Center at the Lake Oconee office. Mr. Prell is nationally known for his work in physical therapy including an emphasis in the treatment of vestibular and non-vestibular disorders.

Professional Development

  • Specialized in manual therapy utilizing the Maitland technique, an Australian approach. These techniques are used to achieve optimal results in the treatment of issues related to the spine as well as other musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
  • Developed the Neuromuscular Kinematic Modulation technique which is a structural analysis evaluation to assess relationships
    associated with the four primary load bearing joints of the body involving the shoulder, hips, , knees, and ankles.
  • Certified in level I Dynamic Movement Assessment (DMA) testing using Dartfish video analysis. The DMA is a research based
    performance/movement assessment designed to evaluate how a person moves, which allows us to quantify those movements using Dartfish software.
  • Developed and instructed a course entitled,” Evaluation and Treatment of Patients with Vestibular and Non-Vestibular Balance Disorders.” which focuses on the variables which affect a person’s balance, including vertigo. The course has been taught to physical therapist across the southeast and throughout the country.
  • Specialized training in a Golf Performance Enhancement Program to develop golf specific exercise programs using unique equipment in conjunction with neuro-muscular re-education and balance training. The program was developed in association with the PGA, LPGA, and Champions Tours to address the unique requirements of the golfer.
  • Trained in providing sports specific techniques for development of the upper and lower quadrant in the athlete
  • Studied extensively under the pioneers of TMJ therapy in the evaluation and treatment of Temporomandibular Disorders
  • Participated in coursework utilizing recent advances in treatment and evaluation of the shoulder and knee with cadaveric dissection
